I want an already used gamer tag

Discus and support I want an already used gamer tag in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; how do I get it? Am I required to pay for it if so that's fine.     I want an already used gamer tag


    how do I get it? Am I required to pay for it if so that's fine. I just don't know the steps to follow to get this gamertag since he hasn't been active for a seriously long amount of time.

    I want to be able to receive rewards but the email address associated with my gamer tag is not in use. The email address I want to change my current Xbox live gamertag to is already being used by another gamer tag on my Xbox, what to do?

    If the tag is in use on the servers, there is no way for you to get it. The original owner would have to change the tag or it would have to be released by Microsoft. There is no way to request a gamertag. The tag system is also used by other Microsoft services,
    so even if it isn't being used on an Xbox, it could be in use elsewhere.

    Remove WLID from gamertag

    Thank you for your reply. That is what I tried to do, but you need to transfer WLID away from my gamer tag first because it will say that there is a WLID already associated with this gamer tag. When I do this and come back Xbox live has already placed a
    new gamer tag on the WLID I want to use.

    You could try different variations of your wanted gamer tag, like for example, if your wanted gamer tag is ilikepie but it's already taken, you could try ilikepie1 or ilikepie2012 etc.
