I uninstalled a game now it wants me to buy it again

When you go to your purchase history (https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders), do you see the game listed there?

If so, when you click on it to go to the store. Does it give you the option to download, or does it say purchase again? (Make sure you are signed into the marketplace page, which you may have to sign into. It wouldn't let me sign in, but when I right clicked
sign in while doing it on the PC and said open in new tab, the browser signed me into the page no problem).

If it's not in your purchases might mean that you were gamesharing. If you are not using the account that made the purchase as xbox home you will have to purchase the game for yourself.

This was a free Play Weekend.

But it is now also in the gamepass. maybe this is an option for you. there you get many other games too

If you downloaded it when it was free and now it wants you to buy it, its possible it was a free to play game for that week. Once the free to play ends, you must buy the game for its orginal price to continue playing.

Wait would it matter if I got the game when it was free
