Question: I unhook my Xbox one of all of its cords and put it back in the box every time im done using it. Is this ok to do? or will I damage the plugs or system? The reason I do this is because I have a 5 and 1 year old.

Getting disconnected after 5-10 minutes of playing

Sounds just like the problem i've been having. The only difference is that I only have one XBox and it is hooked directly to my modem when i play. When i play my PS3, I unhook the cord from my XBox and plug it into my PS3 and it works fine. The problem is
my XBox but getting anyone to admit it or fix it has been an even bigger problem. I may be done with XBox.

  3. The adapters for both XBO and 360 suck

As much as I loved my 360 and love my XBO, I seriously cannot stand the adapters.

The cord that plugs it into the wall, for whatever reason, can be unplugged from the box itself and almost every xbox I've used, the cord would be extremely loose. Just today it fell out of my XBO's box 3 or 4 times in the middle of a game for no reason at
all. What was the purpose of being able to remove it? Would be nice if it was a bit more secure. My xbox is pretty close to the wall it plugs into, so the cord is kind of pushed against itself since it's really thick and tends to get loose and fall out.

    Hi

I personally would not advise doing this every time you have finished using the console as this may eventually cause damage/ extra wear to the HDMI, power and Kinect ports by repeatedly unplugging and plugging them.

i agree with gds1972. generally, doing this occasionally should not be a problem, unless you are careless with the cords. however, everything can eventually wear out, and doing this very often will only speed up the process.

Xbox doesn’t show a picture after a restart.

I would follow the advice of fellow ambassador StuartATrueRed but I would also unhook all cords from the
the back of the xbox and make sure they are connected before starting the console again. If the issue still continues then you might want to unhook your external HDD if you have one and see if that fixes the problem.

    Kinect 2.0 Review

I unhook my console and put it away after every single use. even though i don't really use the Kinect I still hook it up every night as well.
