I try to download Battlefield: Bad Co. 2 and failed becose not in valid region

What it mean that I not in valid region or game not in valid region..

I purchase Live XBox Gold for Year and it be promised to download 2 games in moth..

What happen why I am NOT IN VALID REGION..

I purchased my Xbox 360 S, 250 GB HDD last year. It has currently 140 GB of free disk space.



On 26/12/2010 I purchased Battlefield: Bad Company 2 from the Marketplace. Downloaded it just fine and played it too.Last month I deleted it and now I wanted to download it again. When the download reaches 99% I receive the error message: "Can't download
Battlefield: Bad Co. 2".

when I try to download battlefield bad company 2 which is free this month it gives me "this game's region does not match this console.."

when I try to get it from xbox.com "Sorry. This content is not available for consoles in your region"

Which country do you live in and which country is your gamertag set for? Region is another word for Country. If your gamertag is not set up for the same region (country) that you live in then that could be the reason that you cannot download the game.
Some games are unavailable for download from a different IP address other than what they were intended.

 

I have the same problem. I'm in the US and my region is US but i get the same message. I pay and expect the free games as part of that. What's going on?

 

daph - if you live in the US and have your gamertag's region set to use and are still experiencing this issue then try starting the download from the website here. If that doesn't work then you may need to contact phone support for more assistance.

 

Thanks Onyx. Yeah, that's what I've been doing as I get that error regularly. Usually it then works when I download from the website on my desktop computer, but this time it isn't. I'll contact support. It's been a pain from the get go and I've been terribly
disappointed with the support. Ah well.

Contact your isp then then it's a dns issue

You can check with whatsmyip or speed test.net

If you are on a us military base then you aren't connecting with a us connection at all but the local foreign isp

Vpn won't work either

Dude, it's not my internet. I've been in a chat with xbox support for like an hour + now. They are making up all kinds of excuses.

I don't even know what to say!

Onyx, what kind of assistance would you expect from xbox live support? They've just told me to contact the game developer eventhough I'm in the US and my account region is set to the US. They claim it's because of a licensing issue, which is nonsense, unless
the game isn't licensed for sale in the US???

It's NILLSON "trying" to help me.

 

Sorry to hear that you've had a bad experience. Unfortunately if you cannot download the game it can mean one of several issues from a billing issue to a region error (which would be incorrect if you live in the US).

If these issues cannot be easily resolved by you, which seems to be the case, then you must contact phone support. Perhaps you got someone who was having a bad day. Try contacting them again to see if someone else can give you better help.

 

actually it can be your isp

if it is a dns issue which would report your false location

 

hence why you should be looking at your whatismyip and speedtest.net results

which will show you where your DNS and ip are located
