I try to connect to my hotspot but I can't, I get a NAT Type unavailable

do you try with 5G or 4G ?

I had the same issue with 5G but with 4G it works fine.

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums with this question. In regard to the use of a WiFi hotspot to connect to Xbox Live, we fully recommend using a more traditional internet method if you wish to connect correctly as many mobile providers may not
have the correct security settings via hotspot to be compatible for the security needs for parties or multiplayer game play. This would explain the unavailable NAT type you're receiving. If you do wish to use your hotspot, I recommend contacting your mobile
plan service provider for information on the best way to do so.

My nat type is strict and upnp unavailable what can I do I'm hotspoting from my phone and I have unlimited data max my provider has said theres nothing wrong with my connect and so has xbox I'm lost why I have a strict nat type and upnp is not working

Thanks for posting here on the Xbox forums. Unfortunately, connecting your console to a hotspot is not recommended for reasons like this. Most troubleshooting, regarding networking on Xbox one, involves getting into your router/gateway settings. In order
to get an open NAT type, you would need to connect your console to a home network or try a different hotspot. There are cases of players connecting to hotspots without issues, but its pretty random.

You can also try contacting your service provider to see if they can help you troubleshoot the Hotspot. I can assure you that the Xbox is not at fault when it comes to

NAT types. NAT types are directly influenced by Network security.

The NAT type is open but I don’t believe that is the issue as when I’m connected to the hotspot the NAT type is also open
