i tried buying a prepaid card to get gold but it is not working

after spending $25 on a prepaid card for xbox live gold, it did not work and i hope that it doesn't just take my money and make me pay for a new one later.

Doesn't trust banks or credit card companies. Tries to use their pre-paid cards.

I fear for this person's future when they try to buy a house with no credit. Maybe they are rich and will just buy it out right with their mattress money.

As for a solution to your problem, use your prepaid card from a company you don't trust to buy a 12-month or 3-month Xbox Live Gold card from the store.

I have used prepaid visa/mastercards in the past and they have worked. I never tried for a gold sub though because I would never pay full retail price for a gold sub

 

Same thing, it appears as if there is an issue. I have a ticket open with support for this.

 

I've been having this problem ("Something went wrong" error when redeeming the code) for a week now. The Chat Techs say "It's a known issue, try again in 24 hours" every time. Today a tech deactivated my code and gave me a new one, which still didn't work.
Of course they told me to try again in 24 hours, but I've been doing that for a week now...
