“I Thought The X-Box One X Was Suppose To Be A Family Entertainment Center?”

When the new Xbox X one X came out and was described as not merely a gaming console but a “Family Entertainment Center”with its Blu-ray capability, I traded in my PS4 to give the Xbox community a chance. however when I purchased my new go pro eight black
and began making videos using Blu-ray disc of my 4K footage an Immediately became aware that this so-called home entertainment center, a.k.a., Xbox one X did not support using burnt Blu-ray disc even though it plays Blu-ray and 4K movies, i was shall we say,
rather dumbfounded to say the least. My PS4 never had an issue playing burnt anything! Especially Blu-Rays with 4k footage...

Lesving me to wonder with great dissatisfaction, how can the Xbox one anything be considered a home entertainment gaming console if it is prevented from playing home movies burnt to Blu-ray or DVDs for that matter? It makes absolutely no sense. However what
does make sense is that apparently I’ll be having to consider trading in this rather limited home theater gaming console and going back to the PS4 or perhaps waiting on the PS5....

Xbox One and Xbox One X follow the same standard for playing discs. This information has always been available on our website, as you can see by this link.

I thought HDMI would give surround sound on games, but not on the HDMI pass through originally. Which, still sucks since the xbox one is supposed to fit right in the entertainment center. They seem to have it sorted out for launch as part of the day one
update. But just to be safe, I have an optical cable that I can run from my cable box to my receiver.

I have opened the door on my cabinet and turned off the 2.4ghz wireless bridge that all of my other devices in the Entertainment Center are connected to and I am NOT having the problem any longer. This is BS though as I thought this NEW Xbox was supposed
to be the Center of the Entertainment Center....but it does not work right when other devices are present? Please come up with a better solution than this!!!

The link that you have sent does not indicate any games for the x box 360... I am assuming that x box one games won't play on the 360... is that right?????

Isn't this a paradox? what MS is trying to sell and what we are buying ( or not).. They are selling an all in one entertainment hub to be the focal point of your entertainment in your living room den, whatever. To me this means they are getting the
gaming console out of the kids bedrooms and into a family room. This also means that as the center of entertainment for the whole family the unit should be easily assessable for the whole family to use. Does this mean the kinect imprints on all members of
the family so it will recognize there voice commands and show there preferences etc.

From what I saw on the reveal the box recognized the voice of the person who had the live sub and showed his preference and last game etc. In effect we still have a single user device that's not like a tv or stereo system that everyone has access to. Do
any of the features work with out a subscription? Will everyone in the family have to have a subscription to use? One subscription per box 10 accounts? Or does everyone have to share a subscription? Just doesn't seem to meet the criteria of a family entertainment
