I got mad at a game and called someone a [Mod Removed] and I felt bad after I said it and I went to message him to say sorry I gamer rage but an enforcement message aperared and now I am restricted on the things
I can do and I would like to know when it ends or how I can make it end

Anyone Else Thinks Microsoft is Too Lenient on People Who Break the ToU?

I don't disagree with the punishments but they should bring some parity to them.

A gamerscore modder gets what essentially boils down to a warning by having the score reset. Someone who mods their avatar though, using almost exactly the same process, gets an instant ban.

Either both infractions should have a 'warning' or both should be an instant ban.

    Unfair

Anybody who uses red to write messages has to be pretty angsty anyway right? I think there should be a warning instead of instant enforcement ;)

Just my two cents - but I agree that there should be a warning system in place for players, instead of the whole instant ban thing.

For the record, I don't mod, hack, cheat or break Xbox Terms in any way shape or form, but I do think that the instant swing of a banhammer to a user who has paid good money to a service provider (thus helping it keep afloat in the current economic climate)
is incredibly heavy handed, almost dangerous considering what people will part money with come next-gen console time - to put it into perspective, I will not be buying the next generation of Xbox console based purely on my experiences with XBL support and
what I have read on these very forums and on the Internet about "the banhammer".

If you read the TOU and COC you got your warning.

  5. I agree, I got a 24 hour ban over a year ago and it stopped me from doing so many things when I actually didn't do anything apart from message someone who was using some kind of cheat on GTA V saying he could be banned then next thing I know xbox restarts
    and a ban in place!

Its getting to a point now where you're best off not talking to people you don't know in game in case something is taken wrongly and Xbox ban you. PS Network is nothing like this and far more relaxed.

  6. You don't need a warning. The CoC you agreed to is legally binding and explains the rules of Xbox Live. It is all the warning you need. Ignorance is no defence.

As for PSN, it too has the same rules. Send a message to someone using profanity and, if it is reported, you'll be suspended. Go and check out the account section on the PSN forums.

    1. response to number 3, ok so do you know how to boost in halo 3? and do you think all those boosters in mw2 should be banned from xbox live instead of an in game warning/ban.
