Discus and support I think one of the updates has bricked my console in XboX Insiders to solve the problem; My console's hdd gave out and won't start my xbox one at all before this I had to factory reset it like every 3 days and now it just finally stopped...     I think one of the updates has bricked my console


    My console's hdd gave out and won't start my xbox one at all before this I had to factory reset it like every 3 days and now it just finally stopped working. Some of the issues I encountered were the console getting stuck on the green screen and eventually the console took forever to boot up but became stuck on the green screen which was incredibly laggy and not allowing me to troubleshoot it. This only started to happen after the update around September 30th.

    My console is not covered by warranty so I bought an SSD formatted it to work on my xbox one s and everything but now I'm getting an 106 on error when it trys to prepare the console and a e101 when trying to download the OSU since my console is in the alpha program I'm assuming I'll have to wait several months for the current alpha ring to go public and then I can download the osu so when will os 1911.191013 -1845 go public.

    It's best to post in the preview program forums regarding any issues with the latest Xbox one experience.

    If you get a message that states that the group cannot be found PM a mod so they can grant you access to those parts of the forums.

    And if want and invitation to the program you will have to go through 3 steps,

    1) Be invited

    2) Be accepted

    3) Enroll

    (Note being accepted can take up to months before actually getting into the program and there is no guarantees and if you have any 'recent' enforcement action on your account can restrict access to the program. But if your enforcement action was a year ago
    then your set and authorized to join the program.)

    I wouldn't say its a preview program issue in all honesty, its past that stage.

    If you believe the preview update has 'bricked' your console then the preview programs TOC state that they'll replace / repair the console if the program seemed to break it.

    It still follows under the preview program so i recommend you still post there.

    What you can do is hard reset the console follow my steps. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds until power off unplug the console from receiving power for 5 minutes and wait once done plug the console in and boot it up.

    My power brick does it.

    My friends power brick has started doing it too.

    As my console is in my bedroom I don't use instant on because of the noise. When the room is silent the fan can be annoying.

    I don't think it can be fixed by a dashboard update as i'm not sure if the console could actually control the fan in the power brick.

    If you bought your console from a proper store not an online one and it's still under warranty you could try getting your console exchanged for a new one and hope the power brick is quieter on that one.

    Sending the power brick off to MS though just seems a lot of hassle which is why I use energy saving mode instead of getting it fixed.

    Weekend Update has Bricked my Console.

    So I managed to fix it myself. I saw that the USB Cord that I use to charge my Controllers was slightly flashing with no controller hooked up. I unplugged everything from the back and pressed the power button and it turned right now. Then I plugged the
    HDMI in. The update didn't even install yet and I'm pretty sure my console is possessed. But all is right with everything now. That's what worked for me at least
