    The Kinect & the Controller

    This might also be a way to lengthen batteries life for the controller. It will no longer need to send a radio our wifi signal. It will just need to broadcast an ir beam which uses very little power? I dunno, I think you are correct though and the kinect
    is more connected to controller function than people think. That would be why kinect can't be unplugged.

    xbox one stand by

    I think most X1 owners keep theirs like that. It allows for the system to download and install updates. It really isn't much different to the 360, other than it uses more power being in standby.

    The Xbox One console uses between 20 and 125 watts of power depending on what you are doing with it. I know that Microsoft is working on bringing that down from what I have read. However, at this time there is nothing in official notes on updates regarding
    the power consumption of the Xbox One.

    do not ever purchase a transformer for anything that uses more electricity than your laptop. The level of power converter you would need would be hundreds of dollars

    Xbox contains universal power supply and all you need is a local power cord

    Xbox 1 40 times more powerful with the cloud, 10 times without than the 360..

    It doesn't take much to be 10 times more powerful than the 360. I think the issue here is with the cloud magic that makes the console somehow 4 times more powerful than that.
