Why even sell the games? They aren't worth much and are still fun to play, this isn't Microsofts error.

    Backwards Compatibility Dilemma

Is all the dlc for games gonna work properly? Also, would the system recognize a dlc disc? And, would any kinect features work? If not does anyone know why kinect wouldn't work. Of course they're different but it would basically be the same functionality.
    So why wouldn't it work?

  5. I think streaming games is a bad idea... At least, that's what past endeavors from other platforms seem to have shown.

I already have the backwards fix...XBOX 360. Can we please kill this topic already....why waste a perfectly good console in the xbox 360??? There's plenty of room for both and if you think they are going to cutoff the 80 million owners anytime soon, you're
foolish and so are the companies stating that fact as well...(ubisoft...cough, cough)

This is good news. Streaming games works fine the problem on the other console is the pricing if Microsoft prices the games right this will work.

But people will complain because they want the games they own on 360 to be free to Stream. If Microsoft did that then you have a system seller.

Why is it so hard just to turn on your old 360 and play games on it? I don't get the big deal of having to play 360 games on the One.

I know my situation puts me in a small minority of gamers but I'd love for some type of backwards compatibility so I could unhook my 360.

My entertainment center has a 360, One, PS4, PS3, PS TV, Roku, Cable Box, powered HDMI splitter, sound system, router, modem and a gaming laptop in addition to my TV. It looks like a something out of NASA with more lights than my Xmas tree. I'd love to be
able to have a few less devices but keep all my current gaming options available.

  11. Streaming games does not backwards compatibility make. True backwards compatibility is taking your Xbox 360 discs and inserting them into your Xbox One, or downloading your old games and having the newer console play them. A wonderful idea, if only the
Xbox One was powerful enough to emulate an Xbox 360 at full speed. Sadly it isn't and likely never will be either.

Streaming doesn't send any Xbox 360 processing or graphics data to your console, all it does is send a video feed of a game running on another machine somewhere else in the world. Which would probably revolve around a subscription service of some sort. So
you would have to pay again to play your old games.

Streaming can work though and there is nothing inherently wrong with it, it's just not the same as playing the real thing.

Also, this news isn't all that new either.

I'm definitely not interested in playing any of my 360 games on the One.

I'm actually nearly done with the 360 altogether, I'll only put it on when I'm feeling a little nostalgic. I don't even really have any motivation to go back from some of the achievements I wanted.
