I think I'm going to give up altogether on consoles.

As you can see with my profile, I love so much consoles that I did not fired my console in close than one year. It was in a sealed moving box. (My second X-360 ended up scrapping several seasons of DVDs-despite never moving it. As a result, I have never
been able again to play on consoles, as each time I put a disk, in either a PS3 or X-360, I'm terrorized at the thought of scrapping the disks. I use them to stream stuff from my TV, and that's it. I have sadly over 15-20 games on both consoles that I bought
and played for two hours before giving up-I have still unopened two-three years later my ''Catherine''.)

I bought the FFXIII-3, and two months later decided to give it a try. The collector pad I bought for Tomb Raider-which have sit with the console on for 1 year-refuse to work. I'm tired of this. On average, I don't even play this console one hour per month,
and each time I try to play one of those damn games, I have to buy something else. A new console, a new drive, a new TV, a new pad.

How much are you supposed to spend to have any fun ? The last console I bought was used for 15 HOURS and have already stopped working. One console per game ?

Ah well, at least I can still play it. I think if it becomes unplayable then I will just give up xbox altogether

Nope, and if you don't like the way the 'next gen' is going.... You may as well give up on console games altogether now. The generation after next will be even 'worse' than what your Complaining about now... Today's world is always connected what do you
think it will be like in 5-10 years time... Seriously a lot of people are crying about being left behind as the rest of the work is moving forward.

 

Are you playing games in the middle of a warzone?

 

What model Xbox do you have? Its not normal for them to break that easy.I suggest not buying used ones because you dont get a warranty and you might get a lemon or one that has been banned from Xbox Live.Sorry about your bad luck.

are you standing up or laying down your xbox when you put a disc in? lay it down maybe standing it up is messing up your discs.

 

Sounds like you have had alot of bad luck.

 

My console runs about 14 hours a day.They generally last a few years.I m on my 4th one but Im about to send two in for repairs that got damaged by a power surge because they were plugged in during a lightning storm.

 

My current 360 is doing just fine. Went through three 360s in the first four years since it's release. Two "Elites" BTW LOL! I just tossed them into some dumpster; Couldn't be bothered to fix them. My fourth and current console, a "slim" is just peachy.
