I still can't play GTA 5 Online......help?!?!

So after all the patches, updates, etc., I still cannot play GTA 5 online, does anyone know why? When the game is loading, I hit the "A" button to select online mode, and it appears to be working, and right when it is about to zoom in from the overhead
view, and looks like I'm going to be able to play, it gives me a message that says something to the effect of "Your network connection has been lost due to an unknown error." Does anyone know why this keeps happening to me, or
what I can do to fix it? Any help would be great!!

Is GTA 5 Online still having problems yes or no? I'm just curious to know if it's working at 100% cause I'm still scared to try it I have not played it at all yet.Like if I play GTA 5 MP I wont get my SP deleted or anything now? Is there still any major
problems with GTA 5 Online?

Have you tried loading story up then going to online?

I only say this because I have the same problem when I try to just jump online.

 

^^Don't go straight into Online. It is better to go to Story Mode then transition into Online via the Pause Menu.

Going into Story Mode first will decrease the time it takes for the game to load, which is a lot faster than going directly into Online.

 

Going straight to online mode takes about 10 times longer, crashes about 50% of the time for me, and loads me into some dead lobbies with 1-4 players in them.

Like Legend said, Story than MP is the best bet, however if that fails you should attempt to contact Rockstar support (and hope for the best)

Haha I know.. I might stick with doing online first if you get that few of people.

 

I mean I tend to get in smaller lobbies when I go to the online without loading Story.

It might be the fact that it takes like 5 more minutes to load, if it loads at all without saying the cloud service is down when my brother is online in the other room >...<

But yes it tends to be smaller dead lobbies when I do get it to load up.

That being said I have been put into full lobbies through it as well, but 90% of the time its a small game.

 

Hmm, perhaps I'll try that. Been looking for a way to get smaller lobbies or ones that don't fill up too quickly. Plus, I like to play with my friends and there is nothing more frustrating than trying to get in the same lobby with each other:

"This lobby is full of players"...sees two slots available.

 

The lobby full BS is from people doing races/jobs/or mini games being out of the lobby but the spot is held for them to come back.

By far one of the worst things is getting into a lobby with your friends. It shouldn't be this hard. What we do is at least two of us in a game will pick on sorry fool and murder him till he leaves and just do this till we get everyone in... but that can
take some time.

Sadly I've seen myself in friend only or invite only games a lot more than open, just so I can goof with my friends.

 

If all else fails its called RockstarSupport.com. While you been sitting here for days waiting for players to help you, you could have already received a message back from Rockstar in usually 24 hours.

 

24 hours? I think the average response time of the support site is 2-3 weeks..

 

I've been having this same problem a lot and doesn't help if I go to Online through the single player. I tried half a dozen times before I got into a lobbly where there about seven people and all of them were invisible on the map, no markers at all. Then
I got disconnected with that same network error message before trying again in which I found a full lobby full of 'Psychopaths'.

 

I sent one in yesterday as I find the money bag tattoo from the business pack falls off after about 24 real hours. I received a response today.
