Hi I recently got a promo on my xbox live homepage, sign up for a free 14 day trial. I selected it and it went through successfully and as usual, entered my credit card details.

I then went to play gears of war 4 horde and it would not connect to live. I got an error code telling me Im not signed up and it provides a link that then takes me the live store to buy a subscription.

I assumed that the trial has not gone through, perhaps because I used a 7 day trial last year, and also done a 1 month for £1 last year too. I therefore assumed that Id need to buy a subscription.

A few days later I then went on amazon on the prime deals day last month and bought a 3 month xbox live code. I entered that on the xbox store and it applied 3 months to my subscription. There was no mention of the 14 days trial either so I was certain
those 14 days had not been applied to my account otherwise I'd have thought it would say "your subscription will begin AFTER your 14 day trial" etc.

So now having the 3 months live subscription I then went to play gears of war 4 and the same error message came up! Telling me Im not signed up! I researched the error code and from what I can see on their official forum, its an error linked to user accounts. So
I was in fact connected to live, its just that Gears4 is quite shoddily supported by its devs. If I use another player account, I CAN play online and I dont get that error code.

The problem I have then, is that I had two subscriptions running on the same user account. I had the free 14 day trial, and my 3 months. The 14 day trial has now renewed itself and Ive been charged £7.99 despite having the 3 months running at the same
time. Why has it done this??? Surely their systems should spot that Im already a paying customer!

I have attempted to contact microsoft support but I get bounced to that AI support assistant that doesnt provide any assistance. I cannot find a live chat for a human being or any telephone numbers any where (Im in UK). I have no way to raise this query
with microsoft (unless they respond on this forum?).

Can anybody advise how I can get them to resolve this. My Credit card company has frozen the payment but I dont want Microsoft to go and freeze my 3 months as a response.

FYI for those that signed up for the 14 day trial. It will auto renew tomorrow.

 

Game pass trial not working

I signed up for 14 day free trial and it still wont let me download sea of thieves still says sign up for 14 day trial or buy the game. when i click on sign up for 14 day free trial it tells me to pay 10 dollars.

That would really be your only option as they are the only ones with access to your account & billing info.
