  1. I shut off my pc while installing ark on the xbox app

    Yesterday I was installing ark and had to delete some other games to free up space when I started the install I went away for my pc for about 3 hours and when I came back I shut off my pc forgetting that ark was installing. This morning I remebered and when I checked it says that I need to install it, not continue, I thought I would just reinstall it but the space is still used up as if the game was parcially installed but the app has no percentage of install and says I need more space. When I started my avalible space was around 170gb and now I have 90gb left.

    :)

    I shut off my pc while installing ark on the xbox app

    Hello!

    My name is Dérek, I'm an independent platform consultant and I'm grateful for the opportunity to help you.

    Mark, The pc keeps files momentarily and after a while without using it deletes them, it is common.

    Let's try to solve

    Let's try this IP and cache cleanup, please

    Type CMD in the search bar;

    Right-click on the Command Prompt option;

    Click on the Run as Administrator option;

    From the Command Prompt screen, execute the commands described below, pressing Enter at the end of each line:

    ipconfig /release <Enter>

    ipconfig /renew <Enter>

    ipconfig /flushdns <Enter>

    ipconfig /registerdns <Enter>

    nbtstat -rr <Enter>

    netsh int ip reset all <Enter>

    netsh winsock reset <Enter>

    These commands are for resetting IP configuration and network-related caches that may be stored on your computer.

    1.On the desktop, press the Windows + R keys simultaneously to open Run;

    2. At run type cleanmgr and click OK to open Disk Cleanup;

    3. In the Disk Cleanup window, select the C: drive (if asked) and click OK;

    4. In the Disk Cleanup for Windows 10 window, select the checkboxes for the files shown and click Cleanup System Files.

    5. After cleaning, check the checkboxes that are not checked again and click OK>Delete Files.

    Restart your PC and try again

    Select Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & Features. Apps and Features in Settings.

    Select the app xbox

    Select the Advanced Options link under the application name (some applications do not have this option). On the page that opens, select Repair if available.

    Once the Reset is done, you will see a check sign next to the Reset button. And restart the PC

    Microsoft Game Taking Up Disk Space, But Not Downloaded On My PC.

    You are not able to see Ark installed on the Microsoft store, on the Xbox app and not even by going to Start > Settings > Apps ?

    If you open the Xbox app and try to install Ark again, does it start to download everything from the beginning? I would suggest you to try it since the game may not be recognized as installed by the Xbox app but it is installed. If that's the case, it will download/install in less than a minute.

    Games are not downloading correctly to portable SSD

    Hello, I'm Felipe and I'm an independent Community Advisor, and I'll do my best to help you.

    It sounds like there may have been an issue with the download or transfer process. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

    Check to see if the Xbox app is installed on your home PC. If it is not, you will need to download and install it.

    Make sure your portable SSD is connected to your home PC and recognized by the system.

    Open the Xbox app on your home PC and go to Settings > System > Storage. Make sure that your portable SSD is selected as the default install location.

    Try downloading Ark again from the Xbox app and see if it installs to the correct location on your portable SSD.

    If the above steps do not work, try deleting the partial download of Ark from your home PC and then re-downloading it from the Xbox app on your work PC.

    If none of these steps work, it may be worth contacting Xbox support for further assistance.
