    I should be warned when getting an update!


    I have been playing Xbox for over 10 years and never had problems with updates. I'm sorry but updates have been stupid on Xbox one. Multiple occasions where I have been in a middle of a game and have to leave it to do an update. Today, I was halfway through
    a game of FIFA 18 and was disconnected because I had to do an update and the worse part about it is that I had my console on for half an hour before going onto FIFA 18. Not once I had to update so I casually start to play FIFA 18 got into a game and halfway
    through update appears out of thin air. This is the most frustrating thing I've ever come across on Xbox. Why isn't there a message before hand warning you that there will be an update. Why do you have to do the update straight there and then? Why can't this
    be delayed for 30mins max? These are questions you should be thinking of as an company. Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of respect for Xbox and always been my preferred console but this needs to be sorted. I shouldn't have to come on Xbox worried about getting
    some random update within my gaming experience. I am so frustrated and hopefully you will do something about this.

    be warned !

    Cod 2 Halo please stay away from this game. The multiplayer blows, and no no ffa!! So spend your money on something else if you care what you spend your money on. the multiplayer goes beyond just having host issues. At first I thought this game was cool
    but the more I play it the more discouraged I get. So I for one have moved on, this game is nothing like farcry predator or farcry 2.

    be warned !

    I had trouble getting into my first match but since then I have not had any issues with MP. It's not bad! But the single player is where it's at!

    Hi there,

    usually there is an indicator showing on the Guide that indicates there is an update available.

    Also in a standard situation an update is available for a couple of days before it will be forced.

    In case you are participating in the Xbox Insiders program then the moment between being available and being forced can be a lot shorter and I suggest checking Settings - System to see if an update is available.

    Also, set your console to instant on mode. You'll never notice the updates because they'll usually download while you're not using the console..

    XBOX forced update interrupting a game...

    Even IF I had auto updates on, it should, AT THE LEAST, give a warning and an option to postpone. This is BS.
    I agree with this part. Even if auto-updates are on, they should be triggered only when console is not in use, and if console is in use, show a notification similar to we see in Windows 10 PCs.

    Xbox One game updates actually modify the main install files when they are updating, they don't get added to the game or downloaded then installed after they've been downloaded. The Xbox One does it all at once. So, if you cancel an update, your game would
    now have missing data, it wouldn't work anymore.

    I agree, there should be a warning.

    However I also understand Microsoft's position in that they gave a warning when you agreed to the Terms of Use.
