I set up my sons details and Xbox profile on my Microsoft account, how do I change this so...

With regards to your concern, if I got it right the Xbox profile of your son is associated on your personal Microsoft email address correct?

For Xbox profile such as achievements, games, etc. I am afraid it cannot be transferred to another account my apologies! What I mean is if he created the gamertag under your email address, it will stay on that email addres including the achievements and game progress.

But as a workaround, you can have him create his own account and setup a gamertag via https://account.xbox.com/profile page. After having his own account, you may share any digital games you purchased on your account by setting his console as the Home Xbox. That way, he will be able to play the games without needing to access your email account. So my son is trying to set up a Xbox live account, so he goes through the registration process and it says you must enter a parent account to associate it with, so I got through entering my account details (windows live login/password) and it then says "the
region for the child account does not match the region of the parent account, check your region settings and try again", you then get a choice of OK or Back and end up going round in circles. How do I "Check my region settings?" whereabouts in my xbox live
account information on line do I find that? I don't understand why it's querying this anyway, my xbox was bought and registered in the United Kingdom and has never been used anywhere else in the world, my xbox live account was created in the United Kingdom
and has never been used anywhere else in the world, same for my son's account, so why is there a problem and how do I fix it? Right now I've got a very grumpy 10 year old who wants to get onto his xbox live account and can't because of this silly issue. Do

Thanks for responding. I am able to log into my son's account on microsoft account. No issues there. I have also ensured that the settings on both my son's and daughters accounts are exactly the same. What I have also noticed is that I have downloaded the Xbox app and when I try an open this the app just freezes but on my daughters ipad I am able to log in and navigate through the different screens. At no point with the minecraft app not the xbox app was I prompted to enter the details for my son's microsoft account. Where would these details have been set-up on the Ipad. Is there then anyway to change these settings if they were incorrect. Trying to look at clearing cache but that has not helped thus far. Can do this for safari and chrome but can't see find any way to do this for minecraft

The Xbox profile was set up with my email over 10 years ago when my son was quite young.

There are no family settings set up at all.

When I look at my information, in the profiles section it has Xbox. When clicking this my sons Xbox page comes up.

I have looked at my sons Xbox setting & Microsoft settings and there is no link to my account by name, email address or anything.

I have recently read there is no way of removing it! All I can do is block the emails. Or ……….. possibly could I create a Xbox profile for myself and see what shows up under profiles ????

I can add a new profile on the console without any problem. What I haven't found out how to do is linking a local profile to an existing MS-account. To sum it up, here hs what I've done so far:

1. Created a new profile on the console (Xbox 360, by the way) and found no way to make this profile work with Xbox Live.

2. Created an MS-account for my son and for myself, each with its own email email account.

3. Set up an Xbox-profile in my own MS-account without any problem and downloaded my profile to the console.

4. Tried to repeat step 3 for my son, but couldn't get past entering my own password when I had to allow (as a parent) the creation of an Xbox-profile in my sons MS-account.

Sadly, I won't be around my son's place from today on, so I hope that I can set it all up from my home desktop. That is, I'd like to set st up in such a way that my son only needs to download his profile to his console.
