    I set up my account to play and my kids play under that account how to move to their family...


    When setting up the Xbox I set up an account (parent account which is mine) and the kids have been playing under it. I want them to have their own accounts. How do I move the account I set up to them and reset up a parent account? I bet this question is asked too many times to count, but I find this whole process not very intuitive and extremely frustrating.

    It should be easier to set up and play. I have gift cards that I want to add to an account but don't want it on mine.

    My son can have my account, but I want it to be a child account. How do I set up a new parent account so I can control that other one?

    Game progress can't be transferred, unless they keep using the same email, or they add a new email to add to this account (won't be the best as will be the same as keeping this account )

    Unfortunately, nothing can be moved between accounts. If you want to seperate the accounts, one of you would have to start over with a new one.

    here is the problem with that process, if I do that, all of the progress that my son has in some games will be lost. There needs to be a solution to this, setting up new accounts aren't the answer, I have already done that. Again this process is very clunky at best.

    The account already on the parent email can't be moved to a different email without deleting the email linked to it

    You would need to create new email account for each child account that you need, and then add those to the Xbox, after that you could add the gift cards according to your needs on each account
