    xbox live problems

    This past Wednesday my brother texted me to tell me that the xbox was telling him he needed to buy live and he couldn't play online. I assumed it was telling him to buy live because his account didn't have gold he shared my gold to save us money and that not
    playing online I assumed was just our wifi having a hiccup but then the next day I got on the xbox and it told me the same thing that I needed to buy gold and that I couldn't play online. I have gold, my memberships says I have gold untill next February 2019 but
    I can't play online and I have tried multipule games and same thing happens it tells me to buy gold and won't let me play online any help or advice would be appreciated.

    Xbox One will not connect to its usual Wifi source

    Was connected to Xbox live all morning on my Xbox 1 then it disconnected me and when I try to reconnect by putting in my wifi info it says "can't connect check your network name and password and try again." It's not my wifi that's the problem though
    because I can connect to my it with my other devices, help please?

    I had this issue. My Xbox s was hardwired but couldn't connect to live. I connected to WiFi instead and bam it works! good luck

    When I test Xbox Live Connection I get an error saying that I have an Internet Error and my wifi can't connect to the internet but my wifi is connecting to my pc internet, but when I just sign back in I automatically connect to Xbox Live. When I play games
    that do not require Xbox Live my Xbox Live never disconnects, this only happens when I play online games that require Xbox Live. I had one corrupt file but it was in games and apps, it was an incomplete download.

    The same problem started for me 4 days ago. I just got my Xbox 360 about a month ago. I started with the free month of Xbox Live Gold, and left on auto-renew. It renewed on April 3, but since then I haven't been able to connect to Xbox Live. I test my connection,
    and it says it's connected, but when I would try to log in, it would say I couldn't connect to Xbox Live, try again later. I then deleted my profile, cleared cache. But when I tried to download again, it said Error 800704DC. I checked my account, it says that
    the renewal was paid.

    Initial setup won't get past the "You're Connected" screen

    I solved this problem, though I'm not sure what caused it. I had to reset my router and restart the xbox. I think it would help if the setup software was updated to give a network diagnosis option on the "You're connected screen." That would have helped
    my issue - see below for details.

    If you call/chat with technical support with this issue, they will try to do an offline update, and then have you send your console in for repair. (I went down this road twice.)

    Here's how I happened upon the fix - I tried selecting a neighbors wifi connection. When the xbox tried to connect, it told me it couldn't reach the internet and gave me the option to run a network diagnostics. At that point, I selected my wifi connection.
    The Xbox ran a diagnostics and said it couldn't establish a link with my DHCP and told me to reset the router and try again - problem solved.
