    I resolve in 2018 to be more patient


    I too am among those who have had difficulty logging into the Microsoft Bingo server for the past 24 hours. But instead of getting angry, I will respect that the employees have likely been off for the holidays (especially yesterday, New Year's Day, when
    the issue arose for me) and assume that the servers will be fixed in short order. Surely I can't be the only one that understands this?

    Be patient, they're trying their best to resolve the issue. I'd like to see you resolve this issue for over 40 million members.

    In addition to the fact that these server issues seem to happen every few months and do not get fixed for days (holidays or not), I think people are angry because there is never any acknowledgement from Microsoft that there is a problem and no notification
    when the problem is fixed. Microsoft could obtain a lot of goodwill from their clients if they would provide us with some updates.

    If these forums are not the place to report these kinds of issues, could you tell us where we should report them so that Microsoft will see and address them?

    I am sorry I disagree, when you take a position as a server admin I am sure it is with the understanding that server outages will not always be convenient to your personal schedule. When a server is down several days it effects the customer and your job
    is literally to lessen impact to the customer. So if you want the holidays off do not take a job that may include holiday work that's pretty basic. If you accept the position then do your job. The lack of response and slow resolutions are not something
    that can be just glossed over so no, I am ignoring a down server and impacting literally thousands of people around the globe because its a holiday is not an excuse. As Smudgy said this is not a unusual occurrence so I doubt it is holiday related to begin
    with. It is more supply and demand. These companies base support on the app with the largest GROWING subscription base not the existing users. Bingo obviously has a large user base but perhaps is not growing at a rate that warrants support. Once your a
    user even a paying user you are no longer relevant.

    I'm not saying that we shouldn't report these problems here, I'd just like to see people do it with a little less anger. It's games after all, not like our health is at stake. Report the problem multiple times if necessary, but the amount of hate I see put
    toward game developers is rather appalling. Could Microsoft be more transparent? Maybe. Perhaps they shouldn't assume that no response will be taken to mean "we're aware of the problem and working on it".

    This makes the assumption that there is a server admin position in place to manage these issues. Frima has about 200 employees last guess, but this doesn't guarantee that they are not comprised of multiple small teams, all working on their own projects.
    And it could be the case where regular devs maintain the server, and are not expected to be on call 24/7. Do we know for sure? No. But I prefer to give benefit of the doubt. That's all I'm saying. There's more to life than Bingo, why not play another game,
    or read a book, or something else in the meantime? Call me old-fashioned, but that's my two cents.
