I removed all my accounts from my Xbox one, How games still working?

Hello,

I bought my first xbox one on launch day, i sold it after a few months, removed my Account from the console and all the digital games that i didn't remove from the HDD were still working on the new account of the buyer.

I was sure its a mistake but i didnt care much about it.

Since then i bought another xbox and downloaded all the digital games again successfully. Once again i want to sell my xbox one and get a new xbox one s. I removed my account and the games are still working.

How is that possible? is that normal? Is this suppose to work only a few times or what?

If it's normal then every player would download any game to hundreds of consoles. Can some one explain how is it even possible?

First time posting here .
So recently i bought a used xbox one with few digital games in it playable off course. As i have learned that I am able To play these games because seller has this xbox as his home console, even though there was mo sign in .
So ya , i now want to remove his account completely from this Xbox even though i will not be able
To play his games anymore.
So how to remove his home account from this xbox one? And creat
My new home account?

Hi there,

did you set the console(s) you sell to be NOT your Home console.

If a console is set as your Home console, it will have access to your games combined to the account that has the console set as Home console.

Of course i set the console i sold to NOT my home console. Can you explain how the games are still working?

That is a really weird situation.

 

The Home setting would be the only thing that would allow the games to still work. It sounds like it the setting may not have been turned off afterall. Once you set your new console as your Home console they should stop working on the old console.

 

Please trust me on this, my account is already set to HOME Console on a different xbox one. It's a weird situation and it happened to me twice on 2 different consoles.

When you usually remove your account and try to get into a game on the HDD. What exactly suppose to happen? whats message should i get?

 

UPDATE: Every game worked yesterday. I just tried it again right now and it doesn't work anymore. Thanks for the help.
