I redeemed gold membership but it still says silver

I just tried to send a message on xbox.com but it won't let me because I do not have gold membership. Well that's what it says. The problem is, I redeemed a code for gold membership, but it still says silver. Can you help me?

Gold account still showing as silver

I'm having the same trouble i just upgraded to the gold membership from the silver one and it says i'm on the gold on this site but it says i'm still silver on my x box dashboard

went on amazon bought a 12 month card and activated it on xbox.com says i redeemed a 12 month and it says gold member next to my name....ok i get on my xbox and im silver but when i go to account on xbox it says gold membership under memberships....and when
i pushed a on it gave me an error so i waited a lil restarted my xbox and still silver..went back to account this time it says cant lis memberships please try again later..what do i do ?

 

If you entered the code on the website, it can take a while to fully update on your account. Your profile is showing that you're a gold member, so you just need to give it some time to update.

 

I redeemed a 3M code on the website but It still keeps on saying Silver Member on my dashboard..Can someone please help me out I'm itching to play FIFA online!!

try clearing the consoles cache see this link for the how to:
support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache

Restart the xbox console afterwards
