    I redeemed a giftcard to my old Microsoft account.....


    My Xbox console and Microsoft account are connected to a live.co.uk email address. The rest of my life and general daily usage is via a Gmail.com email address. Both accounts are connected for security/recovery etc.

    I recently bought a £20 digital giftcard to credit my account balance in order to cover an upcoming subscription. I noticed this morning my balance was zero instead of £20.

    After some checking of order history against purchases against confirmation emails etc I appear to have redeemed the giftcard via the wrong email address and therefore credited £20 to my old, now unused obsolete Xbox 360 Microsoft account. I had completely
    forgotten about it and thought it was deactivated or deleted years ago.

    How can I get the cedit to the correct account?

    And you can redeem a code for minecraft java and bedrock edition from a xbox giftcard rather than a microsoft giftcard right?

    Giftcard redeemed for nothing.

    I got a €10 giftcard and I went to the store to redeem them (i had 2) 1st one went in but my second didn't. When I entered the code i made sure it was the right code. Everything was fine until I pressed confirm. It was loading/stuck for about 20 second.
    Then it said code was already redeemed. I thought it went in but no. I still only had €20 in my account. I had €10 already from before and i usead my 1st giftcard too. I checked my microsoft order history and it said i had redeemed the giftcard for €0. I was
    mad. I hope i can get my €10 back. Please Microsoft read this! I really need my money back.

    But Microsoft redeemed the gift cards to someone's account! That someone is the thief. The person getting the giftcards does not know my credit card information, Microsoft has this, likely all they had was my password. I changed my password and downloaded
    the Microsoft authenticator app to my phone, but literally someone redeemed this specific gift cards to their specific xbox account THAT MICROSOFT KNOWS! It shouldn't require anything but some button pushing to track them down.
