I redeemed a gift card for Xbox but when I checked I didn’t see my credit, is there any way...

Hello Microsoft, today and a while back I purchased a gift card for 25$. After coming home from work I then redeemed my Xbox gift card at home. I went onto my Xbox and tried to purchase some in game currencies and saw that I still had no money in my billing. I went into an instant state of panic and didn’t know where my balance of 25$ had gone until I opened my Microsoft account and saw it in there. I tried everything I could but I still couldn’t use it. Here I am again making the same mistakes as last time and I can’t get back my 25$ again and I really need to buy somethings on my games etc. I would be very happy if you guys can help me resolve this issue and get me my 50$ back. Please and Thank You. I really how you guys can find a way to transfer the money into my Xbox account so that I can use it.
