    I recently received a 24 hour ban from online for no reason.


    So I received a 24 hr ban from online play because while playing Dark Souls 3 I killed someone that invaded me. Then they sent me a bunch of messages how they were going to stalk me and called me a baby. After killing them during several more of their attempts,
    I ended up calling it a night.

    Apparently saying "You suck" to this stalker was considered hate speech and I got banned for 24 hrs. I feel like sinking anymore money into Xbox will be a waste since the report system and enforcement system is so easy to abuse and Microsoft doesn't seem
    to care all. So I guess I was just wondering if I should get a PS4 now?

    Communications suspension?!?

    i recently received a 24 hour communications suspension for actions i did not commit. This is absurd!! Is there any way to lift this ban?

    kaw, an email should have been sent to the address associated with your account. If you did not receive one then you can check the enforcement page linked above and see the reason why it happened. You'll need to log in with the affected gamertag and then
    click on the orange hammer to see the reason and the option to open the review.

    Telling someone they suck is classed as harassment.If these people were stalking you then why didn't you just report & block them?

    As it's a 24 hour suspension you can't file for a case review so will just have to wait out the suspension.

    You can get a PS4 if you like,that's entirely up to you but the rules are the same on PSN.

    Might be worth reading the Code of Conduct to see what is & isn't acceptable over xbox live

    Suspension of communication

    You usually get an email within 24 hours. Suspensions aren't the same as a ban so you may only get the message you've already received. Keep in mind suspensions can happen weeks after the fact so it may not be from something recent.

    Sorry but that's all the help we can provide. The only reason you would have lost GS is if the PET deemed that you got those points illegitimately. Only they can give a specific reason for the reset. Also, if the action happened more than 18 months ago
    you would not be able to request a Case Review.
