The only thing you would need to purchase is the adaptor that would connect to the power outlet on your wall. Even the older consoles like the Xbox One S or the Xbox One X supported 110v-240v.

I have already tried a friends power lead on a different outlet and it blew the fuse and tripped electrics instantly again

Wondering if it’s time to upgrade to a series s as they are so reasonably priced.

It is only compatible with Xbox Series X|S and in regards to your query, yes, you can play the game through cloud gaming which requires you to have an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
