    With regards to your concern, yes you may need to contact Microsoft Xbox support itself in order to have it updated specially if it is showing on your receipt a different warranty date.

    On the page you will find the option how to update your warranty details. The steps should be this: Here's how to contact support:

    1. Go to Microsoft account | Devices and locate your device.

    2. Select Info & support and, if necessary, select Register to register the device and see coverage details.

    3. On the row for Warranty claims, select Learn more.

    4. Select submit a request.

    5. Provide information on the Warranty Support request form and select Submit.

    In case you are having problem with the steps, you may also try contacting an Xbox support via this page https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us

    On the page, click on "Contact us" > Subscriptions & billing > I can't redeem a code > Type in "Support" then there you should see option to message or request a callback from the Xbox team. The option I provided here is diferent, this is just a way to easily find the option to reach the Xbox support.

    Xbox Series S + controllers WRONG warranty time

    How much shorter are we talking here? The Consoles and controllers come with a 1 year warranty, although the controller and console may show a slightly different warranty time (my controller is 2 weeks less than the console..however they are 6 and 8 weeks respectively longer than the 12 months)
    yes yes, I know that the manufacturer's warranty for accessories is 1 year and for consoles 2 years



    However, the manufacturer's warranty in the system is approximately 4 months shorter than on the proof of purchase
