I really want to like this game.

But why do i have to run back and forth to the tower so damned many times. Good god they have radios. And the graphics which the teaser trailers show must be from a high powered pc gaming rig because the zombies look like a muddu mess on the x1 on a 1080p
65 in UHD set.

everyone is entitled to their opinion ..... but if your opinion is that you dont like something, why do it?

 

For story related missions, sometimes you have to keep returning to the tower, but if your talking about getting supplies and whatnot, unlock safe zones. Some have quartermasters and others you can trade with. As for the graphics, we all have our opinions.
I think they look fine.

 

Apologies, i was mistaken about quartermasters being in safe zones. According to the map, their icons aren't showing up in the safe zones. I could've sworn i saw one at a safe zone i was at. I'm almost positive though, that i saw one somwhere other than
the tower. Maybe it was Rais's headquarters. Hmmm...

 

Iv only played for a few hours but I dunno it looks ok? Ill for sure be having a better look at the Zeds when I get back in game but it plays well and looks fine so far.

Yeah unlock safe zones. They are the house symbols on the map. Red ones need to be unlocked, green you can use.

Some have stores and quartermasters in them as well when you return later after unlocking them.

They also have bed and a rucksuck where you keep your surplus equipment.

When you first start playing it can be frustrating. Especially when you don't know what you are doing. But carry on playing, learn the controls and everything becomes easier.

Also don't rush through the story missions. If you rush through them you will find your equipment and skills are too weak for the enemies as advancing the story introduces tougher enemies.

Do side missions and unlock safe zones to give your skills a chance to improve and to get better equipment.

As for the graphics. The game has a film grain effect. If the sharpness is too high on your tv the graphics can look fuzzy. Try turning down the sharpness a bit. Turn gamma down a little in the games settings can help too.

 

Just keep playing until you get the Grappling hook! makes traveling a lot easier and faster!

 

they should not have called it "Grappling Hook" it just does not work the way it should

Instead they should have called it "you are now superman, Njoy"

 

spiderman more like, there is one other quartermaster-spike at the first trailer, but there are vendors in some safe zones

 

and graphics are better than average

 

I usually don't care for fetch-quest type games like this, but Dying Light has been a pretty fun game to play imo. After a disastrous 2014 of one broken game after another, Dying Light is a breath of fresh air and a good, solid, well made game to help start
off gaming for 2015.
