I really want the vocal control with my Kinect!

Hello everyone,

Here is my problem: I bought the Xbox One with the Kinect, assuming I would have all the functionalities that have been promised for this accessory... So, when I tried, the firsts times to test theses functionalities, I completed easily the gesture tutorial,
BUT I never had the possibility to activate my Xbox with the vocal control or to do anything with this function... then I called the helpline and the result is ... ... ... ... ... I can't use the vocal control because I live in Luxembourg ( the little country
) and Microsoft does not provide this service in this country...

Could anyone help me to get rid of this problem? Why Microsoft do not recognize the Luxembourg as a country? Even in the country selection I can not choose Luxembourg, I can only choose Belgium, France or Switzerland but no Luxembourg....

Kinect voice control.

A couple of years back I bought the much advertised Kinect sensor.

I live in Sweden and I want to ask when Microsoft will enable so that I can use the Kinect voice controls in english?

I understand that Swedish voice controls will never happen, so I want to use the english voice controls when I'm online - just as I can do when I change my localization and unplug the Xbox from Live, and just as I can do inside some games like Forza 4.

Considering voice control was one of the key selling points with the Kinect sensor this is a question I really want to have answered.

So, when will all of us be able to change the language for the Kinect voice controls so that we can use them?

Will Xbox One recognize voice commands from a headset

^that my problem with Kinect, they want you to buy a 'camera' for voice controls.

Microsoft has not completed rolling out all the features to all regions yet, including voice control. It is not because they do not recognize your country or are planning not to support it. They are doing localization in all regions to make sure it works
properly with your language and accent. This has taken longer in several regions which is also why it has not officially been released in all regions at this time. Have patience as they should get it officially supported in short time.

I'm from norway and we have to some degre the same problem... we can select norway as a Country but then no voice commands.. what works for me is that I select an in my case english speaking country/locale.. the only slight drawback is that I can't buy
anything on the xbox live store from the console.. but as one can freely swich locale on you console and use games & content bought in the apropriate locale for your location.. and I found that I can buy content/dlc from my smartglass app (which is in norwegial
locale) while the Console is set to US locale and it dowloads automaticly to my Xbox one (in instant on mode) so the drawback is for me easy to live with in exchange for having kinect voice command (and I prefer having english as the language anyway as I dislike
dubbed movies and games, and can manage without subtitles)

Its free....for those with kinect and still a fan of the game it will add and give a unique experience. Considering that Kinect really is nothing more then a vocal remote control for entertainment apps and kiddy/family focused, the fact that some developers
are trying to do anything with it close to 6 months after releasing their games is interesting if a little obvious

Doubt this news will make fans of the game rush out and buy Kinect for this feature, but it might get people to revisit the game to try it out, and it has put Skyrim back on the front page of Gaming Media outlets for the time being

@Sir Personally, I believe you should complain about price or else it will never change. Speaking with your wallet is great, but it's also nice to back it up by being vocal too. I DO KNOW the Kinect for my 360 is NEVER plugged in and I NEVER play any of
my Kinect games because they bore me and I don't want to clear a space in my living room to dance, plug water holes, or chop zombies. I DO KNOW the potential of Kinect as it applies to ME, and trust me, it's not worth $100. Microsoft would be dumb to force
a Kinect on everyone that doesn't want one... thats a great way to lose money to PS4 via console sales, game sales and Live membership.

Might kinda suck for a lot of people who don't want the kinect, but the voice control is one really cool feature.
