I really want answer from Microsoft why no action is taken against ip booters

Ive countless proof videos pictures message in my xbox account inbox from the same user who countlessly ip boots me I have video proof of netstat watching incoming ip addresses and then my connection gets flooded and he keeps me offlline for the longest
time ive recorded me playing xbox and then I get ip booted and ill move my camera to my desktop and sure enough my connection got flooded and the sad part he has sent me countless messages about him doing it

Its sickening Microsoft that you allow these people to do what they do and get away with it They think theyre cute funny and smart and they are not why should I spend money to Microsoft well im not anymore until this get kids banned

Why are these people still on xbox live with host booters no matter how much you report them they dont get banned

every time i get back online it happens again and again because my IP dont ever change here is the one who keeps doing it

I keep getting booted on Madden 25 when I'm winning no connection problems but bam all of a sudden I get dropped from the game and receive a loss

 

You need to report it to your ISP, not microsoft.

DDOS is illegal in most countries and your ISP is obligated to investigate it.

The only other thing you can do is report the messages on your console, but microsoft can take months to act.

Isn't it actually both? I realize it's difficult for Microsoft to detect a ddos attack, but it is still against their rules, isn't it?

 

Even if it were against their rules, how would Microsoft detect it? The person doing the IP booting isn't attacking the Live service.

 

Maybe they can't detect it happening, but they can surely see the messages that are reported when someone threatens it. Seeing as that's a felony, I don't see why that's not a "one strike and you're out" sort of behavior.

 

And they can act on threatening behaviour. Yet unless Microsoft and the attacked ISP are in communication, and the latter passes on records for that IP address, Microsoft would have no proof that anything actually happened.

 

The only thing the PET team can investigate is the messages which would need to be reported via the op's console

 

Yes, and that's exactly what I said should be a one time offense resulting in an immediate perma-ban.

 

Sorry, I try to not post multiple times, but an additional thought occurred to me shortly after posting. If they can't detect it happening, why is one of the steps in the link above that details how to deal with a ddos to "file a complaint with Xbox"? Please
note, the next step says to file for "tampering", not "text or voice message", which would mean you're filing for the act itself, not for a threat of the act in communications, which, as you say, they can't detect, so...?

 

They can`t detect it after the event, how could they?

Maybe once a person is reported for tampering they are monitored at some point, to hopefully be caught in the act, wishful thinking??

Reporting the messages is the only real option anyone has.

 

They as in MS have it in their tos agreement or rules to protect them. Thats why now you cant do a class action law suit. They added that into their little protection claus due to the fact they had to fix or replace thousands of RROD that they tryed to sweep
under the rug. I think Ms can detect this and does nothing unless its done to them directly. If it was my company I would be looking into this matter to stop it when and if they try it online on the servers.. I was getting laged switched and got kicked off
COD ghost because we were so good on clan wars.
