I Reacted to an Inappropriate Sexist Message on Xbox and Got Banned

I got a 24 hour ban for calling some guy a (won't repeat...but it is a BORDERLINE bad word) after he sent multiple sexist messages to me after dying to me in a video game.

So, MICROSOFT, its okay for a man to tell me to "get back where I'd be useful...kitchen," but its not ok for me to stand up for myself? As a streamer, you're sending a stellar message to all the other female
gamers out there who aspire to do more in this field AND have to deal with this kind of behavior on a daily basis.

I blocked him, I reported him. Never received any sort of email that it was being looked at or anything like that.

And, YES, I should have ignored him. But this has happened WAY too many times.

I'm only posting this here as a separate thread so it is documented. I will happily take my 24 hour ban for this nonsense.

But female gamers shouldn't have to deal with people like this AND get penalized in the process.

If you got a ban its not a “borderline bad word” its something that broke the code of conduct. You’re right that nobody should have to deal with harassing behavior, but people like that are just looking for attention and trying to get you in trouble, and
responding to them just gives them what they want. If you report them then the enforcement team will look at the report, but most likely they wouldn’t let the reporting party know the outcome of the report.

The enforcement team does not use the forums. You can view your enforcement action on enforcement.xbox.com however since it is a 24hr suspension you will not be eligible for case review. In the future it's best to report users rather than retaliate.

This happened to me also a couple days ago, I messaged somebody something that is inappropriate and all I should get is a 4 day ban from communication right? Nope. 2 days after I got banned for communication, I got a 15 day suspension. I don't know why Xbox did this. I completely understand why I got banned for communication, but a 15 day suspension? Also, my appeal was denied. Me sending a message that is inappropriate is not a consequence to a 15 day suspension. XBOX PLEASE GET BACK TO ME

So basically I'm *** and have to keep paying money because a few people got butt hurt and found [Mod removed] to be offensive, but people who have gamertags with racism, sexist, crude references to balls or *** isn't offensive or inappropriate?
