I'm sorry to tell you but the discs are 2.5 years out of date. You will have to download the game anyway to play it. They were only distributed to a few territories.

You will also have to download the 40th Anniversary edition. Your license has been grandfathered to the new version

The game is in the Xbox app, or under Microsoft Flight Sim 2020 in the start menu, or you can find it in the store app. The game should update to the 40th when you launch it

Hi I've checked the purchases page and it is not showing up

I didn't purchase it through the MS Store, but got the key from Amazon and input it directly into my XBox one

But its still not showing as a redeemed code

The code that I purchased for a recent Live membership is there but not this purchase

Unfortunately there is no option to gift purchase MS points directly from Xbox.

There are some online game retailers I.e Amazon that will email you a redeem code if you purchase a MS points card online via their site. Or alternatively goto a game retailer, purchase a points card and forward the redeem code.

Did this for a friend and just messaged him Happy Birthday over live with a redeem code.

It seems having purchased the game, I need to access the MS Store from within Windows 10. Doing so gave me the option to install the game. Accessing the Store from my browser didn't give any such option.

I am assuming that, given that the MS Windows 10 Store has allowed me to install the game (even though its just a place maker install, the game has yet been released), proves that I bought the Windows 10 version and not the Xbox version.

I have pre ordered the game off of amazon and have already redeemed my code on the call of duty website. I then redeemed the code which the website provided on the xbox store. After redeeming the code i searched the game on the xbox store to try and install
it, and it then said that i own the game however there is no option to install it. The game is also not in my ready to install list
