Could not redeem the free code with new purchase - now code is unavailable

Ighsaan Isaacs: I am a newbie to Xbox games. I purchased a XBox360 Forza Horizon 2 promotional unit for my son and when I tried to download the game with the redeem code, it got stuck at 2% during progress of the download. I had to cancel the download to
be able to use the Xbox consul again. When I retried to redeem the game, it said that the redeem code had already been used and is now unavailable. How can I get my redeem code back or continue the installation where it stopped?

I purchased an xbox 360 and it came with 2 free games - one was on a cd and the other was a download with a code. I inputted the code and while the game (tomb raider) was downloading, my router rebooted and interrupted the download. when I tried to re-download
it, it said that the code was already used and could not be used again. The download did not show up in my downloads on the xbox. It is nowhere - How can I download my free game?

How many times did you put the code in to your xbox?

If you only put it in once then I would contact the head office of where you purchased the game as they are the ones who will replace the code for the game. They will also be able to tell what console serial number activated the product as these things are
all tracked.

 

Are you a representative of Microsoft who is employed to deal with these issues directly with the customer having a problem with the promotional codes they received after they purchased a Microsoft product?
