I pre-ordered BO4 to play and it says I refunded it, which I did not. So now I can't play

I pre-ordered BO4 in August and I downloaded the MP BETA and the Blackout BETA, I played them both. Now when I went today to play the game on it's release day, but it says that I have either cancelled my pre-order or that I have re-funded my purchase.
Which I have not and so now I have tried to play the game and it is not working.

So what I understand is that if you pre-order a game you get an older game as a bonus. An older game which has been released for a long period, probably years. You can't get refunds on digital purchases. So why is it that I have to wait 7 to 10 days after
the release of the new pre-ordered game to get the code for the old bonus game, which I could have been playing for a long time, since you've already bought the pre-order and can't return it anyway and the bonus game is legally yours now anyway. Shouldn't
the bonus game start downloading the moment I pre-order a new game which it comes with? Makes more sense to me and it provides you with entertainment for the pre-order waiting period. Or am I talking nonsense here?
