I plugged my 360 into the wall and my Xbox One powered up!

I have a Xbox one and it’s plugged into a power strip which is plugged into my wall

Plug mine directly into the wall. Don't remember if the 360 was recommended to be plugged into the wall, but do know my girlfriend went though 3 power supplies (Using surge protector), while I never had to replace mine.

I did two things to fix this on my son's xbox one. First I did a factory reset from the troubleshooting menu selecting the option to save installed games. Second I plugged the power supply directly into a wall outlet. We had moved the xbox one to
a power surge protector power strip extension cord. After reading some recommendations to plug straight into the wall outlet I did that. We had to reset up the account but the xbox is back to life. No more E105000000008007045D.

My xbox one is plugged into a power strip, not directly into the wall socket. It does have a surge protector.

Let me ask a fairly important question to everyone having power-up issues here. Is your Xbox One plugged into a power strip/surge protector? The reason I ask is, the Xbox One power supply has a built-in surge protector, and plugging it into a second surge
protector actually chokes the flow of power the console needs during its startup routines. It was one of the leading causes of the Red Ring of Death on the Xbox 360 - after a while of starting up and having to work too hard to pull the right amount of power,
internal components began to fail, sometimes catastrophically. I've had quite a few people on here unaware that the Xbox One is under the same power requirements, and the same recommendation to plug directly into a wall outlet.
