    I paid for a year of gold, but it isn't showing up on my account.


    Hello! I recently purchased a prepaid Xbox Live gold membership card for an entire year. Here's the odd thing though, I decided to enter the card's code when my previous membership hadn't expired yet. I assumed that my year of gold would activate the day
    after my old membership expired, but... I don't think it did. I got an email saying that I'm about to be charged again for another month. I don't know why. Shouldn't my year of gold kick in now?

    [/quote]Sorry but this is incorrect. Any Method of Payment for Xbox LIVE will have Tenure added after each year. I've had CC for two years and Pre-Paid for three years, showing the Tenure of 5. Even if a Pre-paid of three months
    is used for over a year (or a one month if still available) it will show Tenure.

    The Tenure shows after the Year is up and a new year is paid for. Sorry but you must have either started in 2009 or have had a lapse in time that did not count as a Silver Profile. In addition, the first Month Free Xbox LIVE that everyone is given does not
    apply to Tenure. So if an Account was created in December 2008 it won't reflect 1 year Tenure until January 2010.

    No idea how to get my account working that i paid for!

    Hey, I've just paid for 1 month xbox live, but my account isn't showing up on my sign in list on my xbox, so my question is, how do I get my account up and running that i already bought live for on my xbox? It gave me a random gamertag 'BrawnierRock8' ,
    thats the one i need for my xbox

    It sounds like you still have auto-renew active.

    You can check whether the other Gold time got added to your profile by going to
    Sign in to your Microsoft account (need to sign in) and under Subscriptions it should say what your active subscriptions are, and it might even say that you are currently on the 1-year prepaid code, or
    it should say elsewhere on the site that you successfully redeemed the 1-year prepaid code.

    You'll then want to check whether Auto-Renew is on, which you can do by following the instructions here:

    support.xbox.com/.../cancel-xbox-live-gold-subscription

    If you're having problems switching off Auto-Renew or cannot see the 1-year Gold time on your profile, you would be best off getting in touch with Phone Support who would be best placed to deal with Billing issues as they can also look at your account. You

    But how can this happen? My Gold membership is a pre paid one which was paid fully, its not a monthly subscription for Xbox Live not to work. So if I migrate my account to US and still stay in Malaysia after 3 months, will my Gold Subscription show up again?
