I own the disc version of a game on xbox play

I own Sea of Thieves, a game I bought in 2018, in the disc version. Now, I'd like to play it on my PC and it is on xbox play anywhere, but it requires that I own the digital version of the game. What can I do?

Play anywhere is digital only as your Xbox disks are only xbox compatible they aren't exe or Windows programs

When you get an digital play anywhere title you download it based on your platform whenever it's xbox for Windows 10 or xbox

You would have to purchase it digitally if you want to use it through Play Anywhere or get game Pass.

Do you own the disc version of the game? OR did you buy it on your xbox 360?

I hear (but I only hear) that they aren't offering the digital version on the xbox one because of the two discs (though you can play the game on one disc)....
