I ordered an Xbox X online with a UK plug. Will I have a problem running the console in the US?

The xbox will work in the us but you will need to buy a power inverter.

Uk is 240 V AC ( alternating current)

US is 110 V DC ( Direct Current)

if you but a power inverter in the us you should be able to run it now issues , im not sure if the travel adaptors will work as there needs to be a certain amount of power going instill and i dont belive it would be enough hence a power Invertor would be
best.

I am under the impression that the only difference to US and EU are Voltages.

I am not sure of the current.. Pretty sure our homes are AC. So can someone actually be certain there is a voltage regulator in the X Box X series?

not 100 percent, but to cover myself i thought that was best option. as far as i was aware you cant put dc on ac circuit. it is more then likley it would with a cable but i personally would not want to risk a £400 unit and blow it up or cause damage.

No you will not. The power supply is universal, he just needs to change the plug

Buying a power inverter thst can handle 200w+ loads is unbelieveably expensive. The ones thst sell for $20-50 typically arent designed for more than 50w, basically to run your laptop.

Are you sure about that? My understanding is that the Series X and S have a multi-voltage power supply, same as the Xbox One S and X.
