Unfortunately this does not actually exist in my "Security basics" section.

Any items in this section require a text to confirm even to open the page, which of course is impossible since I no longer have that phone number.

Hello Jzed, if you no longer have the security phone number to receive the message with the security number, have you tried clicking on the "I don't have this info" option when the security information you have on your account appears?

In step four if it is saying after you put the code in after updating the security information is saying that you have to wait 30 days for the update to take affect that means the phone number you are putting in that step is not the same phone number
that they have for security verification and if you do not have access to the current security info but have access to the email and password then MS will allow you to change the security info but there is a 30 day waiting period for it to take affect.

Oh ok good so it's just going to reset my security info so I can prove that it's me trying to change stuff since I no longer have access to the number it sends it to thanks
