I no have 2nd dns this is an problem? Xbox one can't connect to internet? I have no xbox one

I just tried this method, changing the DNS. worked for updating my xbox one update, and now destiny is working. Changing the DNS changes the gateways being used by your router to connect to the internet. Microsoft put in new Azure servers in sydney and melbourne
and they are having a problem connecting to iinet. Go to settings, network, advanced, change your DNS manually and its all fixed

yes but a network bridge was impossiblle to do for me now i hav done nothing and the xbox can't connect to internet at all and just say it is a DNS problem :S

i have a very nice internet connection and there are no problems with xbox live i have changed the dns server and all those recomnded things and still nothing i know xbox live is haveing an outage so could that be the problem

Yep. I've assigned xbox one static ip. Reserved IP specific for xbox one mac address. All of these work for that one instance where I reboot modem/router. Once xbox is put to sleep and reboots, I can't connect to internet. Funny thing is, the xbox one shows
correct the ip/subnet/dns. Just no internet until i go reboot the modem/router again. I'm thinking this might be hardware issue.

I too have had this persistent problem. I live in Alberta Canada. My ISP is also shaw. I have always had telus by moved about 5 months ago. Since then I changed to shaw.

Over the past week my Xbox live will not connect. My Internet works on everything in my house. Even when I test my connection on Xbox it says network connected and Internet connected. Only live wont connect.

I have tried everything... Talked to Xbox 4 times, talked to shaw ( who remote on my pc and opened the proper ports on my modem). I have also tried disabeling my firewall on my modem.

At this point I am lost.

I have now tried google public dns and that is the only thing I can connect. It doesn't auto sign in and always is disconnected when I start my Xbox. After one test connection it connects with google public dns.

My question... Can someone explain to my why googles public dns works and my ISP Dns does not?

Is this truely an Internet provider problem or an Xbox 360 console problem?
