i never got a console stand with my xbox one s

Hi, I believe that the vertical stand came free with the 2TB launch Xbox One S only.

I personally have never had any of my Xbox consoles stand vertically. A few friends have and they also have had tray issues.. I have seen Stands made for the S and X however... So if you need the space go for a licensed one.. But if you can keep it horizontal
I think that is your best option..

The stands for the X and original One are the same AFAIK

The S and X do not have the same stands, as the cases are different. The original One should never be stood vertically and you should not use a 3rd party stand to do so.

As stated get a licenced Stand as they are officially designed to be used with the console.

Well, wierdly enough I got it to run a disc... I layed it down flat instead of upright in the Xbox One S stand that I got with it and it has run the game.

Not sure why that has happened since my old Xbox One was upright for 2 years and ran discs perfectly fine until 4 days ago...

Will have to check my old Xbox One while flat to see if that was the same reason it wouldn't work.

The original XBox one cannot be used upright, only S and X with a Stand.
