I need proof that it's ok to play movies on xbox. My mother won't let me watch movies ...

I just got a xbox 360 and I plan on getting a xbox One later but, my mother rented a movie and thinks xbox is meant just for playing games. I'd really appreciate it if someone would reply with some kind of proof that I can show her. I know xbox is supposed
to be a mix of a pc and a gaming system. I read that 360 doesn't play movies as well as some dvd players but, I have the choice of that or a dvd player that only plays in black and white. I'd gladly choose xbox but, yeah not supposed to. I remember one time
somehow I broke a disc which was my fault though which is pry why she doesn't want me to put movies in it. I didn't realize there was a disk in and moved the xbox so it sat a different way I think I forget. Thanks.

Can't get my movies to play in hd

I can't watch movies that I have purchased and watched in had fine on my 360. But I just got xbox 1. And the movies won't come in had. Everything else games and espn app work great. But not downloaded movies.

 

Error code on video play status code 803c0006

Hello there, I have encountered the same problem. I cannot watch my movies on Xbox 360 that I purchased from the xbox movies store via laptop. When I click to watch the movies on my Xbox 360 I get an error code of 803c0006. I have deleted and redownload
my profile. I have deleted and redownload Xbox video. I am all out of ideas. This error code happens to both of my movies that I own...

 

No worries, both the 360 and the Xbox One can play movie discs.

The 360 is unable to play Blu Ray but does handle movie discs with no problems.

The Xbox One can play both regular and Blu Ray discs.

If your mother requires proof that movies can be played on the console you just need to show her the Movie and TV app on the console.
