I need help with my Gamertag

My mom disproved my Gamertag the night of when i made it. Is there any way that i can get it changed to something else without having to pay the $10? I just made it yesterday.

Hi, sorry but you can not figure out what email is attached to the gamertag you want. You either know it or you can't log into it.

I need help with my gamertag.

So many years ago in a memory I no longer have, I created this XBOX gamertag "" and then for years I strayed away from the XBOX community because of other stuff going on in my life.

I have long since changed my all-around username to DarkWolf6052 and in trying to change my gamertag, it tells me that the gamertag DarkWolf6052 is already taken. I'd like to figure out where that gamertag is being used. I've searched the Gamertag Database,
found nothing on that name. Is there a way to look up my XBOX gamertag on here to try and figure out what email is being used with it?

Also note I'm the original user of the "DarkWolf6052" tag, not sure if someone copied it or just that I made a second email and forgot about it.

I hope I'm in the right forum, I would love to get this fixed. Can't send help to Support because the "FIRST NAME" and "LAST NAME" fields are greyed out so I'm unable to enter in the required information.

Sorry, but you'll have to pay the $10 to change your tag. Perhaps this time get your mother's input on how she likes it.

If you really are getting harassing messages on live then block communications with the person sending them & file a complaint via your console.You can even set comms to friends only.

If you want to change your gamertag then you will have to pay like everyone else,you will not get a free gamertag change.

You will have to contact XBOX Support and speak with them about starting an unauthorized use ticket. They will ask you a bunch of questions pertaining to your gamertag and you will have to answer all the questions otherwise they will not be able to help
you retrieve your account. This process can take anywhere from 7-10 days but sometimes can take upwards of 30 days. They will compensate you for lost XBOX Live time, but the only way to initiate this is to contact them. You can do this by going to
http://support.xbox.com/ and then click on on the Contact Us link at the top right and clicking "Call" they will have a number listed as well as times they are open. Hope this helps you out.

If its deactivated it could be a banned account and that GT will not be made available.

If its an inactive account then the person would need to remove that GT from his account, there is nothing stopping him coming back in some time to use his account again.
