I need help. Tv speakers stopped working

Is this an xbox one or xbox 360 you are referring to? The xbox 360 has the hdmi audio adapter but for xbox one, it's harder because there is no analog output, though I think you already knew that.

I know there are digital to analog converters (DAC) for video application, but for audio I'm not sure ( I bet there's something) as when converting a lossy signal like analog to a lossless signal like digital,, things don't always work.

As RougueBeerMatt said, go to settings and change the TV connection setting to DVI. You will then need to change the resolution setting back to 1080p. This completely stops the random black screens. As has already been stated this will also stop sound going
through the HDMI lead so it will only be helpful if you connect your Xbox One to an amplifier with an optical digital cable. For anyone that relies on their TV speakers for their sound there is a relatively cheap way around this that will be much cheaper than
buying a new TV and that is to purchase a soundbar. Even a very cheap one will give you much better sound quality than your TV speakers, however, it WILL NEED to have an optical input to connect the Xbox One to. I agree that no one should have to upgrade their
set up to use their new Xbox One. I was at the point where I was going to buy a new TV which I really didn't want to do as my current TV, a PHILIPS, (surprise surprise) is top end and cost me a lot of money.

need this because i know for a fact my mic works but the speaker in it doesn't so i need to be able to hear them through the tv with my mic plugged in

Derek, this is an issue with the way the TV is communicating what speakers it has to the console, which is what the EDID signal is. This is not something Microsoft can resolve because we do not have control over what signals the TV sends out. You will need
to work with Samsung to find out the settings that need to be changed to have the TV communicate that it's hooked up to more speakers than just its two speaker system.

The reason why this worked with the Xbox One original console is because of the HDMI ports. The Xbox One S has been upgraded to have more strict requirements, and before the original consoles ignored the signal the TV was sending. Now it cannot, and the
only way to change this is by settings in the TV.

Spoopy had to essentially hack his TV in order to make this work. Only Samsung can help you out with doing that, we will be unable to assist with it. We can help you understand what you need to say to them, though, to get them to look into this further.
From what I can tell, it's easier to resolve this on Vizio TVs than Samsung TVs, but I do not know the full specifications to get this to work. You are free to post back the model number of your Samsung and I can see if I can further assist with pointing you
in the right direction, however I will still refer you to them for the best assistance.

Hi there, I would need a little more context to help you. Is this through a headset? Speakers? If it's your speakers or headset, how can you be sure it's the Xbox and not those? Can you test your speakers with another program on the TV/PC and can
you test the headset on a PC? Let me know what you come up with.

Its just the sound that should play through the TV, I don’t have any additional speakers or headsets, but the tv is playing sound normally, just nothing when i turn the xbox on
