    I need help, red ring


    My Xbox 360 E went red ring without even being turned on. Its a solid red light not blinking or anything but the power supply is green.

    There is no picture on TV neither does it recognize its own wireless controller. I've tried everything short of removing the hard-drive . Can anyone help me?

    I removed the hard drive and tried every which way to reboot but no luck as of yet. I don't know if the sound quit working days at a time was a warning that something was going south, it may have nothing to do with what happened to it.

    I could help you with the red rings and what it means:

    4 red rings: AV cable not put in properly, plug in properly

    3 red rings: General Hardware Error, cool down for 1 hour

    2 red rings: Over heated, cool down 1 hour

    1 red ring: System encountered hardware error, send repair

    That is all I know and and correct me if I am wrong.
