I need help recovering my xbox 360 account password.

Delete the Gamertag from the Xbox 360 Console. Only delete the Gamertag. Recover the Gamertag. You will need the Windows Live ID and Password to Recover that account.

Is this an Xbox 360? And does the Microsoft Account have two factor authentication (2FA)? If that's the case, it might be that you need to use an App Password to log back in.

The steps here outline what needs to be done to get that account back on an Xbox 360 using an App Password.

Also do you have a "parent" account that has his account added as a child in the Microsoft Account family?

Otherwise the steps to recover a Microsoft Account (the account he uses to log into Xbox) can be

found here, and would be the best steps to try and recover that account and password.

Try recovering the account on your xbox 360 by going to accounts on your xbox this will be found on the last row (tab) when you turn your xbox on. then once you have seen recover account enter the email and password and it will download your account to your
console. Please dont share your password with anyone else for your own safety!
