Yeah just turned on my xbox to redeem a code for assassin's creed origins and couldn't scan the QR code with my kinect. Had to enter the code manually. I can still log in, using the kinect but is the qr code removed or something?

QR codes should become more standardised by the end of this year. I tried holding an Air New Zealand booking e ticket which has a QR code just for the fun of it, at the Kinect. I kept my own from when we went to Sydney during the summer holidays. Apparently
(I know this) the Kinect will only read QR codes which are engineered for Xbox only. It totally didn't recognize it, but it showed me and displayed my gamertag next to me on my HDTV. If you buy new Xbox 1 games disc versions, sometimes they'll have a DLC or
trial Gold card. Most of the time it will have a QR code.

I know that the Kinect can read QR codes with a-b-s-o-l-u-t-e ease you can sit 4 metres away just raise your hand a little with an Xbox QR Code card, and bam it reads it sooooooo easily. Just goes to show that since it can read QR codes so fast and easily,
the same should be possible with gesture control. The Kinect hardware is capable but M just needs to be smart and provide an update with better code in it to help improve gesture control. And yes I have Xbox 360 and Xbox 1 smart glass.

I have an issue where I got this QR code to show and used the QR scanner on my iPhone to read the QR.

It took me to the website and I followed all of Microsoft instructions. Although,, I can not find this code anymore and I have no evidence of this add-on being added to my account.
