I need help connecting my Xbox 360 to my mobile hotspot. Xbox One info needed too..

Hi there, I have a question for you guys.. I've been trying every way to figure it out but it just doesn't work.

I have an Xbox 360 slim (with wifi) and I can't get connected. We just moved to our house, and our middle-of-nowhere town has no internet service whatsoever. (sucks for me, even though I love my new place)

I use a Nokia Lumina Windows phone with internet sharing for my mobile hotspot. It's pretty fast and works great for my computer and Nintendo stuff.. But not for my Xbox. It connects to the wifi, but the internet test fails. It says something about not being
able to connect to a "static IP address" I don't know how to do stuff like this, but I can understand if there's an explanation. When I go to "about phone" it doesn't show up anything about what the IP is for my phone or any other info.

I'm really hoping I can get this resolved because I am planning to upgrade to an XBOX ONE. Maybe the One can connect to this phone? Thanks. Any further questions, I'll try to answer best of my abilities.

games and apps not downloading

Hi Again,

Port Forwarding did not do the trick.

I tried connecting my XBOX to my workplace, and download speed was off the chart...

The problem it seems is my ISP's 4G network.

I Tried connecting my xbox to my ISP's 4G network using my mobile device as a Mobile Hotspot, and the download speed was still below 1 KBs.

However if I did the same thing connecting my xbox to my ISP's 4G network using my mobile device as a Mobile Hotspot and connected my Mobile to VPN , it worked like a charm.

so I'm currently trying to get my ISP to figure out what the hell is going on, with their 4G network. ( My guess is that they blocked some of the ports)

I fixed it somehow!!! At first I was using "automatic" and it kept saying unable to get IP and something about a static IP. Anyway I put it on manual and asked Bing what my IP was.. I put in on there.. Still didn't work.. I deleted my settings (again) and
for no reason it worked. I done the same thing I've been doing. Magic!! I really don't even know how I did it.. So I'm sorry if you're having the same problem, all I can say is keep messing with it till it works. Took 30 tries same method, with nothing, and
suddenly it worked! Try resetting your Xbox network settings, and then your Xbox.

When I searched my phones IP.. It was like 111.111.11.1 then the next day it was in format of 111.111.111.111 maybe why its working now?? I don't know why.

If you don't know your phones IP, go to the search engine BING.. And search exactly "What is my IP address".

I also have tried using my mobile hotspot and it wont even connect using my mobile hotspot. I have 2 different XBOX 360s and neither one will connect that way. It will work if I hardwire it.

Yhea I figured as much its just aggravating that the mobile network is only blocking the matchmaking coding for xbox multiplayer games specifically. The net provider I am using though is Verizon just for reference if that helps anyone later on with similar questions. Ironically though I can play games on my xbox 1 and xbox 360 perfectly fine from the same phone based connection. The only diffrence between the 2 is that my consoles need to use a mobile hotspot connection where as the PC I can either do hotspot or my tethering option.

Yes I have a windows PC and Xbox One, and It says the NAT type is open. I tried the mobile hotspot and it actually worked, but now I just need it to connect to my internet

Hi Rodrigo. So I can't connect my mobile hotspot to my Xbox 360. It said "Network: Connected", "Internet: Failed", and "Xbox Live: Blocked". And just for good measure, I used the same hotspot on my Xbox One and it worked fine there. So I'm not sure why I can't use my hotspot on my Xbox 360.

However I did factory reset my Xbox 360's Hard Drive. But when I try to download my account, it still gives me the 8015190A error code.

Since nothing so far seems to be working for me, do I need to cancel my Game Pass for the time being? I don't really want to cancel it but at this point I just want my account on my Xbox 360.

I need help connecting my Xbox 360 to my mobile hotspot. Xbox One info needed too..
