    I need help connecting/making a Minecraft server

Hello, my name is Tadeu, I am an Independent Consultant and a member of the Microsoft Xbox community, just like you.

I apologize for the issue you are experiencing.

    I am here to help.

I hope everything is going well and thank you for contacting me.

I'm sorry you're having this issue creating your Minecraft server.

I've seen that you've taken several steps to set up and troubleshoot your Minecraft Bedrock server. Here are some additional suggestions to help resolve the issue:

    1. Check the server status:

Make sure that your Minecraft Bedrock server is running and error-free. Check the console or server logs for any issues that may be preventing it from starting correctly.

    2. Check the IP address and port configuration:

Local connection: Use the server's local IP address (e.g. 192.168.xx) and make sure the port number (default is 19132) is specified correctly.

External connection: Make sure that the public IP address and port forwarding are configured correctly on your router. Double-check that the external port (usually 19132) is forwarded to your server's internal IP address.

    3. Firewall Settings:

Although you mentioned that your firewall is disabled, make sure that there is no other security software or hardware firewall (like the ones on your router) blocking the connection.

    4. LAN Discovery:

Make sure your Minecraft Bedrock server is configured to allow LAN discovery. Sometimes your server may need specific settings enabled to be visible on your LAN.

Make sure your server and client are on the same subnet if you are trying to connect locally.

    5. Network Configuration:

Double-check your network settings to make sure there are no IP conflicts or other network issues.

Restart your router and server to make sure all network changes take effect.

    6. Forward Configuration:

Make sure UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) is enabled on your router if your server relies on it for automatic port forwarding.

If UPnP is not available, manually configure port forwarding and make sure no other services are using the same port.

Please note that this is a public forum only. I will respond as soon as possible, and apologize in advance for any delay in responding. I am just a user trying to provide information and knowledge that may be useful to others. I am not a Microsoft employee.

    Kind regards, Tadeu

    Minecraft Server

It sounds like you have done everything correctly to set up your Minecraft server, but there may be some additional steps you need to take to allow external devices to connect to it. Here are a few things you can try:

Check your router settings: Make sure that your router is set up to allow incoming connections on the port that your Minecraft server is using (usually 25565). You may need to set up port forwarding or a virtual server to allow external devices to connect to your server.

Check your network settings: Make sure that your Mac and your iPad/iPhone are on the same local network. If you are connecting to the server using a dyndns.org address, make sure that your network settings are set up to use the same DNS server as your Mac.

Check your firewall settings: Even though you mentioned that your iMac firewall is not activated, it's possible that there are other firewalls or security software on your network that are blocking incoming connections to your Minecraft server. Double-check your firewall settings to ensure that your server is allowed to receive incoming connections.

Test your server locally: Try connecting to your Minecraft server using the local IP address of your Mac (e.g. 192.168.x.x) from your iPad/iPhone. This will help you determine if the problem is with your network settings or with the server itself.

Hopefully one of these steps will help you troubleshoot the issue and get your Minecraft server up and running on your iPad/iPhone. Good luck!

When I try to join a friend it gets stuck on locating server (Minecraft Bedrock)

Occasionally you can run into problems while trying to connect to a Minecraft server. If you’re confident that you have the right server address, the issue could be related to your system or network.

I would suggest updating your drivers or you need to check your Windows Firewall settings and make sure “javaw.exe” is allowed.

Multiplayer enabled but still can't play any servers

I see, in this case Check your internet connection, ensure that your internet connection is stable and functioning properly. If your connection is weak or intermittent, it may affect your ability to connect to Minecraft servers.

Verify server addresses: Double-check the server addresses you're trying to connect to. Make sure you have entered the correct server address, including the IP address or domain name, and the port number if necessary. Types or incorrect information can prevent you from connecting to the servers.

Check firewall and antivirus settings: Firewalls and antivirus software on your computer may be blocking your connection to Minecraft servers. Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software and try connecting again.

Test with different servers: Try connecting to different Minecraft servers to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is specific to certain servers or if it's a general connectivity issue. You can find a list of popular Minecraft server listings online and try connecting to different ones.

Restart your router/modem: Power off your router and modem, then unplug them from the power source. Wait for about 30 seconds, then plug them back in and power them on. This process helps refresh your network connection and may resolve any temporary issues.

Update Minecraft: Make sure you have the latest version of Minecraft installed. Updates often include bug fixes and improvements that can address connectivity issues. Check for any available updates in the Minecraft launcher and install them if necessary.

I have login in Minecraft but why I can't play any server pls solve this problem

    Hello ERROR 008,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

There are many reasons for not being able to connect to any server in Minecraft. Here are some of the common reasons and their solutions so that you can troubleshoot and solve the problem step by step:

    1. Check if the Minecraft version and the server version match

Make sure that the server you are trying to connect to is compatible with your version of Minecraft. If you are playing Minecraft Java Edition and the server you are trying to connect to is Bedrock Edition (or vice versa), you will not be able to connect.

    Solution:

Make sure you are using the correct version of Minecraft (Java or Bedrock) to connect to the appropriate type of server.

You can check the server's official website or introduction page for information on the versions supported by the server.

    2. Make sure your internet connection is working

Minecraft may not be able to connect to the server due to network problems. When the network is unstable, too slow, or malfunctioning, it may prevent you from connecting to the server.

    Solution:

Make sure your device is connected to a stable network (use a wired connection or make sure the Wi-Fi signal is good).

You can try opening other apps or websites to test the network connection and make sure there are no network interruptions or delays.

    3. Check Minecraft's Firewall or Network Settings

If you are using a firewall or certain network security software, it may be preventing Minecraft from establishing a connection with the server. You can check your firewall settings to see if there are rules that prevent Minecraft from connecting.

    Solution:

Open your firewall settings and make sure that Minecraft or Minecraft Launcher is allowed to connect to the Internet through the firewall.

Make sure that no other internet security software is blocking Minecraft connections.

You can also contact the support staff of the corresponding game to find out why.

    Best regards
