    Hi fellow Microsoft community,

    I need some advice on what to do concerning a lost return on Microsoft's end. Let me explain. I have bought an Elite series 2 controller from Amazon last June. I used it for around a month and a half and noticed that one of the rear paddles wouldn't engage
    properly when used. I first called Amazon which redirected me to Microsoft since the 1 month mark had passed. I then called a Microsoft Agent to tell him about the issue and that my hands are always clean when using the controller. He then told me to send
    the controller in for a check and they would repair/change the controller if needed which I shipped the following day.

    I received a package after 2 weeks that contained all the Elite 2 accessories except the controller itself. I immediately replied to the email stating that no controller was found within the return package. After no answer was given, I called an Agent and
    he explained to me that the controller had to be returned to the xbox service center but couldn't seem to tell me why. He then said the offline team would contact me to give me more information.

    After having no answers, I have been calling the Customer Service Center every 2 weeks to have an update. The 5 following agent were unable to help me. One of the agents was telling me that they seem to have lost the controller It has been almost 4 months
    the controller was sent in.

    I mean is there a way for me to get a refund? I'll just keep playing with my regular xbox controller, I've stopped playing Call of Duty. I do get that the working from home demands a lot from employees but seriously, I was expecting more help and support
    from the support center itself. What are the next steps that I can proceed with ? We (C.S. and I) have lost an insane amount of hours trying to get some answers that are yet to be found. Can I contact someone by email?

    You can earn Xbox Live Rewards Credit in two ways:

    1. By finishing the offers located on the MyMissions page at https://rewards.xbox.com/mymissions/ .

    -or-

    2. By earning a one star MyVIP level through purchasing at least $300 USD or regional equivalent of eligible content. After you receive your first star you will begin to earn a percentage of your eligible purchases back as payback Rewards Credit. Pre-orders, in-game
    consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP.

    Since you are a zero star member, you do not get payback Credits on your purchases. You can check your current MyVIP level/progress at (https://rewards.xbox.com/myrewards/).
    I see that your eligible spending has brought you very near your first star!

    As steeledwand7664 already said: If you can sign into your Microsoft Account on the web and other "modern" devices, but not your Xbox 360, you probably have Two Step Verification enabled or a very long password.

    Please go to
    https://account.live.com/Proofs/Manage
    and make sure you DO have Two Step Verification enabled and set up the free Authenticator App on your smartphone. This is a setting to make your account basically hacking proof, because during signing in, the Live
    service asks you for a secret code.

    A bit further down on the page after that setting, you will see a link to create an App Password.

    App Passwords are used for Apps or devices that try to connect to your Live account, but can't ask for that Two Step Code.

    So let the link create an app password, and use that app password instead of your regular password to sign in on your Xbox 360.
